Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 2026

The short version

Runninglime uses tools that are necessary to make the website work and keep it secure, together with technologies that make the experience more convenient, for example by remembering your chosen language or keeping a contact-form draft on your device.

Measurement tools are disabled by default and are enabled only if you choose to accept them. We do not use advertising cookies or profiling tools.

You can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a website can save on the computer, tablet or smartphone of someone visiting it. They can be used, for example, to remember a preference already expressed or keep a function active while you browse.

A browser can also store information through technologies other than cookies, such as local storage. We describe them together on this page because they still involve saving or reading information on your device.

Necessary tools

These tools are used to:

  • remember the cookie choice you have made;
  • deliver the website securely;
  • limit automated requests and attempts to abuse the service;
  • protect the contact form through Cloudflare Turnstile.

They are not used to measure traffic, show advertising or create a profile of your habits.

They remain active because they are necessary for the operation and security of the website. Prior consent is not required for strictly technical tools, but we still have to provide clear information about their use.

Functionality tools

We use some technologies to make browsing simpler and more continuous. In particular, they allow us to:

  • remember whether you prefer to use the website in Italian or English;
  • keep a contact-form draft on your device, so you do not lose what you wrote before sending it.

The draft remains exclusively in your browser’s session storage: it is deleted when you close the tab, and it is not sent to Runninglime until you decide to submit the form.

They are needed to deliver the service you requested, so they stay active and do not require your prior consent. They are not used for advertising, profiling or traffic measurement.

Measurement tools

We activate Google Analytics 4 only with your consent.

Google Analytics helps us understand:

  • how many people visit the website;
  • which pages are viewed;
  • how people arrive at the website;
  • how the website is used overall.

We use this information to check that the website works, identify possible problems and improve the content and browsing experience.

In Runninglime’s configuration, Google Analytics stays disabled until you give consent. Before then, its script is not loaded and measurement cookies are not set.

We do not use Google Analytics for advertising or profiling and we do not send the data entered in the contact form to Google.

Google Analytics normally uses the _ga cookie to distinguish visits and a _ga_<ID> cookie to keep session information. Google states a default duration of two years, although the browser may reduce it.

How to change your mind

You can reopen the panel through the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.

If you withdraw consent to measurement:

  • Google Analytics is disabled;
  • measurement of future visits stops;
  • measurement cookies stored in the browser are deleted.

Withdrawal does not change the processing of data collected while consent was active retroactively.

You can also block or delete cookies and other data stored on your device through your browser settings. If you delete stored preferences, the panel may appear again on your next visit.

External providers

Runninglime uses:

  • Cloudflare, for website delivery and security and for protecting the contact form;
  • Google Analytics 4, only after consent, to measure how the website is used.

These providers may process some technical information needed to deliver their services, under their own notices and terms.

For more information about the processing of personal data, you can read Runninglime’s Privacy Policy.

If anything changes

If we introduce new tools, providers or purposes, we will update this page.

When a change requires consent, we will ask you to choose again before enabling the relevant tool.

Cookie preferences

From the “Cookie preferences” panel you can:

  • check your current choice;
  • enable or disable measurement tools;
  • withdraw consent you have already given.

Necessary tools remain active because they are required for the operation and security of the website. These also include your chosen language and the contact-form draft, which stay on your device and are not used for measurement, advertising or profiling.
